A 4 season solo tent weighing just 1.25kg for 340 pounds - looks too good to be true!

My only reservation is the large area of rearwards facing fly supported by an unreinforced guying point - but what would I know; I'm no tent designer!

Google Dawns Pages.... Blog... She has several tents made by Marc in Perth.
She wrote up a detailed review somewhere.... Send her a message. She's over East.
Marc is an ex engineer. Knows how to design tents that work in Scottish weather..
The Phreeranger is one of his best. A re vamp from the old Phoenix brand.
Your only issue will be waiting time. And I mean, long!!!

It looks similar to the hilleberg Unna,, but with a vestibule,
As rajboy says there will be a long waiting time, unless he has one in stock,
We had a TT Drift custom, waited ages for it,
We used it for about 2 years, probably done about 90 to 100 wild camps, we were happy with it,
The back of the tent does look like it would suffer in high wind, as you said the guy out point doesn't appear to be reenforced
You could email or phone Mark and ask him, it does say the fabric has an 18kg tear strength.
I notice it doesn't appear to give the overall height on the website,
Please keep us informed if you do get the tent, I would be interested in one maybe O0

Thanks for the replies. I'm not quite at the buying stage yet; I'll certainly contact Marc when (if) I get to that stage.
A bit of extra reinforcement on that rear guying point would hopefully be a simple (and cheap) mod to keep the engineer in me happy :)
In all other respects it looks like an excellent tent.
From trawling elsewhere (trek-lite (http://www.trek-lite.com/index.php?threads/trekkertent-saor-sr1-and-others.3650/) forum), inner height is 95cm, which is plenty. Poles are 9mm 'Easton Aluminium Nanolites', apparently, but 10mm can be supplied at no extra cost.

A double entrance version of the Saor tent would be of interest; would eliminate that 2.4m wall of flysheet at the rear, as well as giving extra storage space and a choice of exits should the wind change. I can't imagine that it would weigh/cost a lot more than the standard model.
Good in hot weather too for letting a breeze blow through; would be a great all-rounder.

I dropped TrekkerTent a line regarding the Saor redesign that they mention on their website, this is the prompt reply that I got from Marc:
Hello Richard
The revised Saor tent was initially a custom order in dcf, it has come out quite similar to a Hilleberg Unna, but wider for a deeper vestibule and different venting design.
Full details should be posted on the website at the end of April.

Sorry to say that I've registered solely to post this: I've had a bad experience with Trekkertent and I want to share it with you all. This thread was one of the reasons I ordered a Saor so I think it is appropriate to post here.
I've got nothing to say about the quality of the tent because I never received it. I can only report that communications with Marc have involved a lot of repeat emailing and chasing on my part, and a lot of non-responding and excuses for stuff not happening on Marc's part. I haven't received one "prompt" reply off him ever. In the end he threw a refund at me without apology. I know he's a one man band and so I was happy to sit tight for five weeks, but you get the impression that fulfilling tent orders is secondary to most other things in his life.
I'm a self employed one man band so I know what it's like to have to sit down and reply to customer emails at 9pm on a weekday. The difference between me and Marc is I do it.

In contrast, I've brought a Phreeranger tent and a second costumed inner off him. Both times I had good service from him.
