Hello from N.E. coast
« on: 18:34:52, 27/10/17 »
Hi to everyone on this great forum. Hope you all doing well  :)

A bit about me (relevant bits anyway!):
I'm Mark from Whitley Bay and love to spend hours walking, mostly in the lakes, dales and Northumberland.
I also try to combine my hikes with my main passion, photography.
I'm planning a couple of trips for next year, both coast to coast routes. In spring we are doing the Hadrians wall path, then later in the year the Wainwrights coast to coast walk.

Anyways, hope to chat to you lovely people soon and hopefully I can contribute a bit too.
Cheers for now  ;)

Hiya and welcome... I am a newbe to this forum too..

Have you completed a long distance walk before ?
I love l taking a pic or two also but I find progress gets hampered so I tend to just take a few snaps which is fine I suppose.. I would like to take some decent pics though..

We have only ever spent a few days in the NE coast and visited Whitby, fish and chips on a walk up the coast... It was 20 years ago though.. lol We are keen to return but for a week next time but have no idea where to stay, any suggestions ?
Gone for a walk, back in a bit..

Whitby is the south to us :D .
If you were to base yourself in the Bamburgh or Seahouses area you would see some wonderful coastline-the whole Northumberland coast is AONB.Holy Island is a must see.
