Coylumbridge Hotel Aviemore
« on: 21:20:11, 04/09/19 »
Only place I could book for my impending arrival in Aviemore(from Braemar) was the Coylumbridge, Little bit above budget and I'm wondering how they react to folks coming off the hill in boots and with a 'sac.Has anyone used it? I did go in there about fifty years ago.

I don't know the hotel in question but I'd be very surprised if they batted an eyelid at anyone turning up in walking kit. Things have changed since the sixties and they know where their main income comes from.

I agree.... My only visit was a few years ago to eat in the basic restaurant...there are two.
Even the most basic refuges in Europe want you.to wear.trainers or crocs....inside the buildings. Must say.i always carry.my trsiners when on a multi day trip.to.change when entering a building.
Alternative....boots off and socks inside. :)

Don't think they'll bat an eye lid. Lots of folk go walking from there.
Stayed there often and always enjoyed it. Pricey though.......
It's changed hands in the last year from Hilton.
