Did you meet the Miterdale Goats?
No. No goats. I didn’t know there was such a thing. I’m guessing they’d had enough of the terrible weather and were sheltering somewhere.

After bluebells so heading to North Essex to some woodland. Have an 11km circular  route mapped out to do after taking photos. Hoping todays rain hasnt made it a quagmire as it was beginning to dry out last weekend

A nice round. We did similar last year, but extended things a little by descending to Skiddaw House.

PS - and a great weekend to you too, Billy. Weather picking up at last!

Thanks Richard, really enjoyed the walk.
Interesting to read your TR, that eastern route back to Dash falls sound good.
When I got to the falls the route back to the car was a fair old slog on a largely tarmac road, but apparently there’s an alternative track running pretty much parallel that would have been nice.

Have a great weekend

Thanks for the tip about Autostitch, may give it a try.
I have been having camera problems too - lens didn't deploy properly on Thursday morning, doesn't seem to like the cold  :(

A good round, despite the weather. Nice view of Yewbarrow, Kirkfell, G.Gable  ;D

The head of Miterdale is really quite unique.

Edit - I feel your pain about posting TRs, one of the reasons that I went over to Wordpress. And I really don't like that you can't modify TRs after a relatively short period of time.

A very fine approach line and nice pic  O0

Thanks VG, really enjoyed the day, I’d checked the mountain forecast for Skiddaw and it was showing a pretty nippy temp on the top, so I’d layered up accordingly.
By the time I started going up Skiddaw it was quite sunny and warm, and I was baking hot and delayering to a long sleeved t-shirt
