My first job in Orkney involved me travelling to the Western Isles on a regular basis, and I worked out that I had time to climb a mountain between ferries on the way back at the end of the week, as some of the Assynt hills are readily accessible - Canisp, Cul Mor, Quinag south top etc. Wonderful to be paid whilst hillwalking!
