Afternoon all.
I am a 33 year old married science teacher and we have daughters aged 2 1/2 years and 11 months.
I am wishing to maximise and make the most of an often neglected and misbranded pastime of walking.
I have booked two trips for the summer break one in Barmouth/Harlech in wales and one in the lakes in the last week of the summer.
I would love to hear from like minded parents and also any advice for novice walkers perhaps some great walks in these areas. I am looking to invest some time in getting os maps and also learning to read them.

Hi from up North.
You've come to the wrong place if you are looking for a neglected and misbranded pastime. And you don't have to go to Wales or the Lake District to walk. I hope you enjoy the forum.

Hello from North Warwickshire, just up the road from you. I did a lot of my growing up in Solihull, living in Shirley going to St Augustines then St Peters schools. Long time ago now.
Welcome to the forum.
