Those are the kind of experiences you don'e forget! Remind a mere northern dweller - what's the OMM?

The Original Mountain Marathon (formerly the KIMM-Karrimore International Mountain Marathon).

Fit people run, duffers like me run the easy bits and walk the rest! We did  D class-the shortest line class.
The location moves each year, last year it was mid Wales so my bet is somewhere in northern England next year.

I couldn't decide on a favourite either, but I do like this one taken on the Pennine Way at Stanbury Moor, near Howarth West Yorkshire

Top of Bla Bheinn.  I think this is Joester.  I was with him and Peakbagger, 2 of the nicest blokes you'll meet, even if they did make me carry the rope and moan when I was slow  :) .  This was on Skye, one of my most favourite places and this was my first ever Munro, possibly not my last, but I don't have a to do list, I just go where I like.  Getting to the top to find the cloud had cleared and you could see "forever" was brilliant.

great pics all and great memories!

Love the pic of the Ogwen waterfall too IanB - don't know if I've ever actually been to look at that!!

Aaaaah Blaven too what a mighty place to be - ONE day I'll get up there again.  8)

Great responses everybody thanks - great to see and read.

I've still never met any of you but this is a brilliant place to hang out - muchos pleasure.  8) 8) 8)

I've taken too many to have a firm favourite - aprt from the fiery Wasdale one.

But this one is from the start of my wobbly coast to coast - 2 weeks of enjoyment, with only 2 hrs of rain.

222miles later I was in the lakes. This photo reminds me of the joy of that walk.. O0

I love this one of my daughter. Reminds me of how proud of her I was for tackling a long and sometimes tricky walk with good cheer and without complaining - she put me to shame! It was also one of those perfect blue sky sunny autumnal days.

Loads and loads to choose from but I love this one, its from one of the most challenging walks I did this year. This is Dibs and Lexi pushing back her fears, ok she's not really looking  ;D , but it was a heck of an achievement for us all to climb Red Pike (Wasdale) that day.
