Bit late to the party but those photos of the siskin are superb, Beefy.  O0

Lovely shot of the Shropshire hills too, GinAndPlatonic - I've only been to the area once (for the weekend & did a few walks) but I thought the area was simply beautiful and have several routes already plotted for my next visit.  :)
I was a bit put off at the start near to Church Strettton what with pay car parks, gift shop, numerous cabins & lots of people, along side the stream..seemed all a bit too cultivated. How ever I now see why it is so popular around there & anyway up in the hills it felt more isolated. I agree beautiful indeed.

I was in the zone today. I walked 11 miles in the hills above lloyney, Wales. Sunshine all the way. Not a soul to be seen. Just insects buzzing and birds singing...the endorphins kicked in around 7 mile..

When there is enough of them, staring like that, it does seem as if they might like to see someone on a plate :D ..

I don't know why but this shot brings to mind magic and fantasy stories.
