Sussamb I've read some of your stuff. You are geet hard! I am not surprised you did'nt need to break in the shoes. ;)
I am in awe of the stuff you have done.  :)

By the way the gps stuff you sent me for the pennine way was fantastic. I give public thanks. O0

Have you done the CaminoFrances or is there too much road walking for you?

Montane Featherlite Down Jacket.

I've been toying with the idea of an insulated jacket for about a year but couldn't find one that seemed to fit my shape quite right, went into Go Outdoors at the weekend and saw it was on sale, hadn't even spotted the jacket before for some reason. Fits me perfect and was on sale so got a bit of money off, was obviously just meant to be!

Agree. I'm on my 2nd pair, comfortable from the start.

Just been out for just over 4 miles around the town in the new Merrells. Sussamb & Hedgetrimmer are correct they seem to be well fitting from the word go.

Pretty much everyone looks like they've just been heavily eating for several days wearing those, even if you are stick thin, I wouldn't worry about it.
