There were quite a lot of replied to your other post about a backpack cover, did you read them?

A recommendation! Don't buy a DAB nor rechargable. A MW/FM using batteries is the best bet. Even better one that has LW as well. but you won't find one of those nowadays.

Roberts Sports is a good bet. Although reception in the Highlands is rather spasmodic.

Bricam was making the point that geezer who started thread has made just two posts. Both times to start threads asking for others to give advice.

On previous thread a fair bit of useful advice was given...which OP never acknowledged, even to extent of making a one word post such as “Thanks”.

Nonsense, there are lots of AM/FM/MW/SW radios available.  Type LW radio into Amazon or eBay.

his or her first post

The subject of members' genders was discussed in a thread 2 or 3 weeks ago.
In this particular case, looking at the first of the person's two posts I think you'll agree that Liz can only be a 'her'.

Ive got a pocket DAB Roberts digital radio, that operates on two AA battery's, its also has analogue radio as well.
The Ariel is the headphones, you plug into the headphone jack.

Its small enough to hold in the palm of your hand, so is very portable, and has an amazing signal for something so small., getting a signal in remote areas of Scotland may be an issue, but it works a treat in remote areas of Snowdonia.
Ive listened to classic FM, on Carnedd Lewellyn and Diffwys, and have never failed to get a decent signal,  but its not waterproof, so only gets taken out in fine settled weather.

I use a Roberts World Service radio, FM, MW, LW........2AA batteries.
Great listening to traffic reports of friday evening traffic jams as you're pitching a tent.

Good radio, versatile.

I don't do radio when out in the hills or country, or wear ear pieces for music as I much prefer the sound of nature, be it the wind, rain, rivers, birds animals etc. and the phone is defo switched off.
Isn't it all about escaping from ones normal day to day life
