Nice write up and pics Lee.  Do you follow a route from a book, etc. or look at a map and make your own up?

I tend to plan a route before I set off, with various contingencies taking into account public transport connections.

Must visit that village.Years ago ,pre M1  days, I thought that Blyth Services was near the end of the world. Mind you I was only three or four at the time. Blyth is very picturesque  quite different  from Blyth in Northumberland where I lived for a wee while on my gradual migration south.
Too little, too late, too bad......
