Hi Fellow Ramblers!
« on: 23:22:21, 25/10/18 »
Hi there,

My name is the Ripped Rambler or as my friends in the walking groups like to call me speedy gone sandals! Ive been rambling for the past 40 years and I have to say its been one of favourite past times. My favourite place to ramble is in the Yorkshire Dales but have been to many of the hotspots like Surrey Hill, lake district and all over Scotland!

Some things I like about rambling:
1)The Ratio of ladies to men  :D ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
2)Lobbying to open new Footpaths
3)Making land owners repair stiles
4)Practising my bird calls in the hope of spotting some rare species
5)Taking photographs of lichen varieties for my lichen scrap book, going 18 years strong now!
6)Stopping for sandwiches

Some things I dislike about rambling:
1)Cyclists flying past me
2)New footpaths being denied
3)Derek from my walking group who thinks he can beat my time up the hill
4)WINTER because theres less rambling
5)Miserable Farmers who stop me having the jolly time I deserve.

Im looking for some new acquaintances and some ladies who are up for a ramble ;D ;D  with a handsome fellow

Hi Ripped Rambler, welcome, my outdoor gear usually has a few rips in it, climbing barbed wire fences, squeezing through hedges and other signs of straying off the righteous way. Not much of a rambler though, my area is in the Welsh Marches, but always interested in walkers ideas about where think they ought to be allowed to walk and why, rather than just following routes that they are allowed to walk.

Welcome to the Dating Forum....  ;)

It always troubles me when folks specify a preferred gender to walk with  :-\

Welcome to the Dating Forum....  ;)

There's groups on Facebook specifically for singles who like the great outdoors, I've seen them in my suggested groups. Lake District Singles springs to mind. It has 1,000 members. There are others for the Lakes I've seen. I'm sure there are groups for other areas.

It always troubles me when folks specify a preferred gender to walk with  :-\

I don't know which gender I'd rather walk with, I walk alone because I'm so slow! Might be nice to have some company though! Why is it troubling if folks have a preference?

I was being ever so slightly sarcastic Rob.

Predominantly this is a walking forum so gender for walking companions shouldn't matter... unless you're just on the pull of course!
