Does anyone know if I can get a train direct from Manchester Airport to Windermere train station? I've checked online and can only see trains to Oxenholme and a further train is needed to Windermere. Was wondering if the change was necessary? Trying to get to AMbleside quicker in future

I'm pretty sure you have to change and the online tool is correct. I have to change at Oxenholme from Penrith too.

Rob and Lazar are correct, change at Oxenholme.
Be aware Northern Rail have been affected by industrial action on Saturdays for quite a while so I would avoid trying to get a train on a Saturday.
