Thirlmere road now open

While planning my weekend's walking, I did some research to see if the long-standing closure of the road to the west of Thirlmere was still in place. Despite Cumbria Council's roadworks pages saying it was closed (https://www.cumbria.gov.uk/roads-transport/highways-pavements/roads/road-works/newroadworksmap.asp), United Utilities, who were doing the work, actually declared it open on 2nd July (https://www.unitedutilities.com/cumbria/our-plans/west-cumbria/thirlmere-reservoir---safety-information/). Good news.
