It was on the BBC national news last night.  An interview with a spokesperson from the NPCC following criticism of "over zealous" enforcement of the guidance by the Police exercising their new powers.

Although there's no dot gov dot uk clarification, I found this reference to it on the Devon Live webpage:

https://www.devonlive.com/news/people-can-drive-reasonable-distance-4006925

Rather depends on your interpretation of 'reasonable distance'.  The accompanying picture shows Tynemouth police standing a couple of feet from a car and leaning towards the open window to speak with the driver - slogan on the police car bonnet 'proud to protect'

from Today's walk

I knew they should be there by now, but I had been avoiding the country park. I decided to go to the quiet part armed with a face mask. I hardly saw anybody else O0

Lovely bluebell photos.I think the moment when I felt saddest last week was when I realised I would miss the bluebells this year.

 :(

I don't know if there are any bluebells local to me here so I may miss them too. There are a few woods about so there may be some.

Lovely bluebell photos, keep them coming  O0

from Today's walk

Nice to see - so far I've only spotted the odd little bunch in sheltered corners.

Do our native Bluebells flower earlier than the Spanish and Hybrid ones?

Not the great swathes of flowers I remember walking through last year but these tiny specs of purple are this years bluebells searched for and photographed specially for rural roamer.
