Harrogate, Knaresborough, and Wetherby areas
« on: 16:01:39, 05/03/19 »
I had three days away last week, based at the Crowne Plaza at Harrogate, (woohooo, I can afford hotels now), and walked in the Knaresborough, Wetherby, Spofforth areas. 28 miles covered. Fabulous sunny weather for two days, dry no sun for the third day.

View from the top of Nidd Viaduct

Nidd Viaduct through the trees.

A lovely walk through Nidd Gorge.

I found a friend at Knaresborough Market

Fabulous views from Knaresborough Castle

Village shop and pub at Follifoot.

A fine set of attractive walks, you always spot much of interest along the way.  O0

Great effort with the upcycled shopping bags, very sturdy looking.

I found a friend at Knaresborough Market

Is that the bloke who's famous for the World's largest wrist watch or his brother who has the largest bottle opener ?  Either way you look to have petrified him ... :D  (a Knaresborough joke)

He is holding onto his bicycle, can't see it due to the angle of the pic. Neither can you see my hand on his knee, no wonder he looks petrified, ha ha. Sadly, I didn't get a date.  :(
