A variety of walks in Brighton
« on: 14:27:06, 17/12/19 »
Just a few snaps I've taken when walking around Brighton and Hove and their environs this year

The Palace Pier

Three-Cornered Copse, one of several patches of woodland within the urban environment

Spring blossom in Hove Park

Autumn colours in Preston Park

On Hollingbury hillfort on the South Downs on the northern edge of Brighton

Sheepcote Valley on Brighton's eastern downland fringe

Valerian on the cliffs above Brighton Marina. You can walk on top of the cliffs from Brighton to Newhaven. Then, beyond the estuary of the Ouse, you come to Seaford, the start of one of England's great coastal walks, taking in the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head and ending at Eastbourne.

Assorted birdlife in Queen's Park

Thanks for looking      :)

Lovely, pin-sharp pics with beautiful light.
I particularly like the seagulls over the Palace Pier.

Do you have any pics of elm trees? I understand even those in Brighton that until recently had escaped the Dutch elm disease are now threatened.
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

Sadly one of the Preston Twins, which are about 400 years old, has become infected
