Many years ago Ian McGregor ran the post office on Holy Island ( Lindisfarne). Great man, had a lot of love for the Island. Your report brings back fond memories of my childhood, I used to bike up to the causeway when the tide was right to get across, have my sandwiches in the lea of the old boat huts and get back over before tide turn.
Too little, too late, too bad......
