With the Rheumatoid Arthritis now making walking difficult we decided on a run out , first to Ribblehead and then down Dentdale to Dent. Although starting in Yorkshire the ride finished in Cumbria so the pictures are located in the Visions of Cumbria section of the website for those wishing to view.

Dave

I really enjoy seeing your photos... thank you.

I have recently moved from the South Lakes area so it is lovely to see these photos of the places I know.

I hope you soon feel better.

Visions of Cumbria

Todays small offering comes from a visit to Ambleside on Sat 03/01/09. The idea was to do some shopping but when Edith saw the crowds that idea was quickly shelved. However we did have a short walk into town from Waterhead and these pictures were taken along the way.
For those wishing to view they are located in the "Visions of Cumbria" folder on the homepage.

Now uanable to do anything resembling walking, last Friday Edith drove us up to the Lakes for a short tour around. It was a gloriously clear day as those fortunate to be on the fells will testify.
I have just uploaded the pictures from this tour to the website. For those wishing to view they are located in the "Visions of Cumbria" section.

16th February 2009

On Monday afternoon we decided to have a run over the Kirkstone Pass down into Patterdale. This plan came to an halt just below the Brotherswater Inn where we found the A592 closed for roadworks.
However we did manage to get quite a few pictures which I have just uploaded to the "Visions of Cumbria" section of the website.

Following on from our failed trip over the Kirkstone Pass we decided to
pay a visit to Hawkshead....a delightful village but one that I have
mixed feelings about.
The pictures for those wishing to view are now available on the website
in the "Visions of Cumbria" section.
