Cave & Crag are a long-established shop based in Settle.  It looks like they may holding a closing down sale, so I don't think it's a scam.

I am being refunded for my purchase as well - though Alan has told me the refund has been paid, with a couple of days to process it.

It is a scam if you're advertising 'for sale' when the items are not available..

No, I don't agree.  They may have just run out between the previous buyer purchasing the last one and the website being updated.  It's only a scam if you don't get your money back.

The web site was  being updated when I placed my order, I dont think the owners kept an eye on it, hence running out of stock. It could have been better managed!

I hope you paid using PayPal.
Ive only encountered one real rouge whilst buying rare 19c photographs on Ebay.
I had paid him, but he claimed to have posted it, but would not provide any tracking details, which he had promised to provide being in Australia.
The photograph was pricey, at £75 and he was murder to contact, and had virtually decided to run off with my money.

PayPal stepped in, and refunded my money, but i had wanted the photograph for my collection.

Your insured for roughly £30k if you use PayPal, so if goods go astray or are missdiscribed or simply non existent, you get your money back.

Always use PayPal when buying on ebay.

Happy New Year to you as well,  :D  and using PayPal is a safe way for payment of goods.
Some people here may not be aware of this.

If anyone is near Bangor, the large JJB Sports on Caernarfon Rd, have a significant number of high quality Graghoppers waterproof gear, some of it Goretex for very little money.
Depending on your size, most are priced in the £20-£40 range, in various colours.
They have also acquired large amounts of Sealskin gloves and other walking related stock.

All i can think of, is that they have brought in a lot of stock from other branches, and priced them up, to sell quickly, as walking gear is not usually their thing.

If your in that area, its worth checking out, as some of the stuff was advertised at very tempting prices.

The gloves looked great value, but as i already had some, i did not bother, but they might have made a good present for someone.

I thought JJB sports ceased to exist a few years ago?
