Hi,
I've been lurking here for a while... I'm wondering what walks there are around edale that would be good in snow. I'm a bit of a newcomer and don't feel confident enough to try the cloughs in snow. Any ideas or advice would be good.
Thanks
Jon

When you say good in snow, do you mean easy?
Mam tor and the ridge is pretty easy or you can extend it you can do a 10 mile walk if you include cave dale, Castleton, lose hill and back to Edale
It's a nice walk O0

Yes, I suppose I meant easy ;) .
Thanks Beefy, that's just what I was looking for.

Yes, that would be good.
It might also be worth considering doing a walk starting from nearby Hathersage...certainly if doing walk via public transport (more bus options as well as on same train line.)
There’s a multitude of circular walks based from there...going up to Stanedge Edge where views are tremendous for example. And easy to do river side rambles to places like Grindleford or Bamford.
