I certainly don't envy the man who is heading up Cross Fell right now.

It is fantastic that a woman is leading the race. If Jasmin wins I wonder what her time will be?

Probably around 3 days 20 hours or less.So far she has averaged 3.3 mph which is very fast.No man has ever averaged over 3mph in this race.

Eoin seems to have faded this year but perhaps that is down to his experience in the brutal Barkley marathon in America.

EEEE!  Eugeni is closing in as Jasmin finally gets a nap at Bellingham.  O.o

Got to be a wise move to finally rest up, tho.

Check that--it was a break, but she's moving now that he's at S*itlington Hall.  Hrm . . .thoughts on whether to censor that wonderful place name or not?

Thanks Tony, I thought it seemed to be very fast. Yes, Eoin hasn't been able to keep up, neither has Eugeni  :)

It is ok to write [censored] Hall, staggeringdragon  ;) But it will be censored by the forum thingy :)

I was already so impressed by Jasmin's race so far, now even more so. She only had 1hr 27 break at Bellingham  :o She is unbelievable!

Jasmin has had less than 8 hours rest since she started. It is amazing how they do it.

Indeed. Only 1h27 last night - and she's running whilst Eugeni sleeps. 6 mile gap now.

She is a machine.
So - predictions when she will finish...
Is the course record in danger?

Got to go out to work now - wish there was an audio stream so I could keep up in the car!!!

Course record in big danger of being smashed, in my opinion - she's got less than 30 miles to go by my reckoning, at 3mph that's 10 hours.

So my prediction - 82 hours!

Time that Eugeni got out of bed!

Edit - he's on the move now.

I'm at work and will be trying not to check this every few minutes and actually get on with things.
She is doing amazingly well.

He's got a fair gap over Eoin and there's no way he is catching Jasmin baring a disaster so he may as well sleep in.

Fair point - he's 9 miles behind Jasmin. But I'm sure that he will be driven to do the best that he can, and to beat Eoin's record.

..and it's great being retired. Trading money for time definitely recommended.  8)

I wish I didn't have to work either  :(

At work now but don't start until 9 so I can dot watch until then. From Byrness it is 25.9 miles approx. I worked out earlier she may finish before 5pm, don't know I this is accurate mind! There is snow forecast for overnight tonight so it looks like she has timed it well, the other racers will have a more difficult time of it.

I hope I manage to "watch" her finish.

I think that feels a bit quick April but who knows with the way she is motoring. I will just have to time my journey home so as not to miss the finish.

I made that calculation based on the mph she is averaging. I think she has about 28ish miles to go @ 3.3 mph = 8.5 hrs = 17.15pm. I hope she takes longer so I can "see" her finish, I will be travelling home at 5 and don't get home until 5.50pm (all being well with buses and traffic), so a bit slower will suit me.
