Ben Nevis in July
« on: 17:07:16, 01/06/17 »
Hi All

Me and my other half are planning a road trip from the Midlands up to Scotland Mid July, Primarily to hike Ben Nevis but also to visit a few other gems on the way.

Does anyone have any idea wha the midge situation is like in and around the Nevis area in July? .. also can anyone offer any recommendation for places to stay ... I know I can booking.com etc, but a recommendation is always worth more.

We're planning to head across to Aviemore afterwards where we normally trip to in the Winter for a Ski day, be nice to see it in the summer, and walk around Loch An Eilein. :)

Cheers

I was in Glen Nevis on Tuesday this week. The midge are already out. July could be bad. Just pray for either a sunny day or a bit breeze.
