South Lakes: Summer House Knott and Finsthwaite Heights.
I left the car near Newby Bridge and first went up Summer House Knott which figured in the cloud inversion on our previous walk. After descending to the hamlet of Finsthwaite I took the track up to Finsthwaite Heights, one of Wainwrights Outlying Fells with the delightfull High Dam at the top. May people consider High Dam to be a far better spot than the far busier Tarn Hows to the north and I would agree with them. After descendind back to Finsthwaite I returned to Newby Bridge via Great Knott wood and Lakeside. Pictures are now available.
Regards,
Dave
