TR Whernside
« on: 14:24:10, 05/03/16 »
It's been a long time since I put anything new on my walking blog.  I don't know why, I just didn't get round to it.  Anyway time to change that.
Me n the other half went out last week for a trolley up Whernside.  We had a really good day - some piccies for you........

The start - Weather is good.  Yippeeeee.

Some jelly moulds........  or are they?

Is that the Lake District I see before me?

What's wrong with this picture?

We are just building up to some of the more demanding hills and had a really good day.  Tomorrow we're going for the Howgills and Cautley Spout.  I've been before and it's brilliant.   (Another TR then.  :) )

If you wanna read all about it - just click on the link: http://dittzzy.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/unremarkably-highest-peak-in-dales.html

Thanks for the comments folks  :) :)

And I remember thinking they were very evenly spaced out Cnicht  - but I was more amazed at seeing a flock of Herdwick in the Dales?   ???

They are a Lake District breed Cnicht and not usually seen outside of Cumbria.  We usually have Rough Fell and Swaledale sheep over this way - here's a little bit of info about the different breeds:-  http://www.cumbriahillfarming.org.uk/hillfarming/sheepbreeds.html  :) :)

Thanks for posting Dittzzy, looks quite different to Gazza's TR, just shows what a difference a couple of days can make.  Oh, and according to this that is indeed Scafell Pike in the centre of the pic.
