High Titten Campsite on South Downs Way at Amberley

This popular official wild campsite on the SDW has new private owners and is closed for an indeterminate period for upgrade.

The formerly open entrance now has high padlocked gates and the entrance is further blocked with brushwood! No date has been set for reopening.

I considered pitching there on my Cocking to Eastbourne walk in early April, but ended up staying at Foxleigh Barn in Amberley. A cracking little set up with a campers kitchen in the field which had a few mod cons inside, and I had the place to myself. A tad pricey though at £15 a night.
