Waterproof ladies cap
« on: 19:07:15, 25/10/19 »
Hi , can anyone recommend a ladies waterproof baseball style cap ? Must be small , the one size options are too big and it must at least look like a ladies cap, she is fussy and Xmas is on the way !!
I have a North Face gortex one size cap and its great but no look looking on the internet for the above. O0

How does that work? Surely without a brim all round the water runs down you good lady’s neck? Is it more of a hood accessory to keep the rain out of her eyes?

Well , we’re not talking tropical monsoon weather protection but the north face cap works very well in drizzle and when rain gets heavy just pull the hood of your coat up over the hat, simples 😁
To add most hats with a full rim would not meet my wife’s style approval when she makes it to the coffee shop after and hour chasing our dogs in the woods.

Is there such a thing as a ladies baseball cap?  All of mine are unisex, and adjustable.  Though, granted.  None of them are waterproof.

Sealskinz do one. My mate has one, he reckons it causes serious sweatiness in the noggin area.

North Face make a unisex waterproof hat. The trouble is that baseball hats are designed as sun hats rather than bad weather protection.

I have a Lowe Alpine cap which I find good for warmth and waterproofness in the winter. Their small is 22 3/8" or 57cm which is probably small enough. There is also, on mine, a toggle to tighten it.

I recently saw unisex,  waterproof,  baseball type hats by Mountain Equipment ,Outdoor Research, and Buff, in the Climbers Shop in Ambleside, so there are plenty out there.

Re: Lowe Alpine hat, I have one too and like it. Paramo also makes one I believe, looks more like a baseball cap than the Lowe Alpine.

I found one of these not too long ago. I had an idea who lost it so kept it in my car to return it, which I did eventually when I ran into her. I sneaked a few wears in it and was very impressed. It's very warm and waterproof so I bought one.
