I recently bought a new pair of Rab Latok Alpine gaiters ready for the Winter. It's my second pair of these, as I've found them to be really good. They fit well, are easy to clean and are very durable.
Slightly different design this time but should be as good, if not better, than before O0

I've also bought a map of Crete!  Going for a week's holiday on the 7th October 8)

Are the hooks the right way up now? If that's the design change I'll grab a new pair as don't like the ones I have as struggle with the hooks!

I remember having a conversation about the said hooks before John! Sadly, they are still the same...but it doesn't  bother me enough to change brands.

;D OK thanks. Not enough to make me change brands either but as the hooks are the same I'll stick with my current pair  O0

Well I was hoping to buy a winter jacket this month.  Alas the zip on my day sac failed today.  Only had it 2 1/2 years, so not buying another regatta.  So I just ordered a new Low Alpine, Air Zone trek 45/55.  Bit bigger than my Regatta which should work out better in the winter and mean I don't need to use my old 65 on winter day trips. :)

Used my new Low Alpine rucksack on Sunday.  Took a bit of getting used to the higher position for the water bottles. But otherwise a huge improvement over my previous Regatta day sack.  It may also take a while to find uses for all the pockets.  But that's a good problem to have. :)

You may find extending the back length, if not already at maximum extension, may help with access to the side pockets

Whilst not exactly "walking kit", I have bought the latest GoPro camera  O0

This seems to be highly superior to my cheapo one that I've used previously so I'm hoping to make some better videos and buying this makes me want to get out and use it more on day walks, something that I've not done much of this year.

Darn Tough socks, bought them yesterday, walked in them today. Expensive but they are very comfortable, the best I have ever used, (I have, over the years, tried Thorlo, Bridgedale, 1000 mile, Smartwool, and others.)
As I say, expensive but they have a guarantee.

I bought myself a pair of Decathlon Long Johns, £9.99, they look and feel OK, I'll know for sure if they will keep me warm when I wear them on my next outing.
