Yes, a one size fits all claim. I took a chance, bought it and it fits fine.

Just picked up a Sigg Hot & Cold 0.3L flask for £6.99 in TK Maxx
It may only hold a cup and a half of hot or cold liquid, but its the perfect size for that day out in the hills.
£6.99 was a total steal for a beautifully made product.

Peter storm neck gaiter, half micro fleece lined - £4.13 and gaiters - £8.50.
Ive never used gaiters before as I set out with waterproof overtrousers in winter, but theyre recommended on the kit list for peru.
Found a Berghaus storm cloud jacket for the missus for £42.50
Millets gave us 15% off everything on top of sale prices just for asking(theres always a code) so they are post discount prices.

I’ve just weighed mine and it’s 78g too.

After not hearing anything from Goal Zero for three weeks regarding the lantern stated to be 68g, I gave them a prod, and this is the reply they sent me yesterday:

"We do apologize for the delay on this. To get things changed within our documentation, It has to go through several levels of clearance and retesting before  we can make the change. This is in progress now. We have confirmed though that you are correct at 78 grams. We do again apologize this was missed the first time. There should be no excuse for that. We do assure you though that the data is being changed and  will be finalized soon. We will not continue to have false data out there."

Bought a Crampon bag.  I could just chuck spikes/crampons in an external pocket in my old rucksack.  My latest low Alpine seems a little flimsy in comparison, hence I will give the crampon bag a try.

Just got a 0.3lt Primus fuel bottle for my Omnifuel.
I used this for fishing so always took a 1Lt one in the car but I’ve decided to take it on the hill this year so wanted to save a bit of weight.
I just love the roar of it when it’s going on full throttle.

I've got the Omnilite - it's like a jet engine!

My latest purchase - a buff for my wife. Just the job for keeping the neck and lower face warm whilst walking into the teeth of an Orkney gale.

Was it a part-exchange offer ?

Boom!

I got a really nice deep pile, super soft, windproof fleece by tog 24. Cant believe the quality for £40. Better than the higher end brands I've tried in shops.
Also got a craghoppers compresslite iii jacket. Seems nice for £32, warm, comfy fit, really light and feels just like down, but questionable lifespan.

Then paid a visit to decathlon(always dangerous) and got cheapo glove liners, Waterproof mitts and a cheap extremely light, zip neck sports longsleeve. It has mesh under arms for breathability and feels lovely for £11.99

I bought myself some new gloves a few days ago - Rab Storm. I certainly needed them yesterday morning up at the Cat & Fiddle! :o

It's my birthday soon too, so my daughter has bought me a new rucksack (which I'm not allowed to use just yet.)
I chose the Osprey Tempest 30.  I reckon she'll have fun gift wrapping it! :D

Just taken delivery from Amazon of a Garmin 64S and a subscription to Talky Toaster.
Having spent a fortune over the last few months upgrading my gear I’m hoping this is the last big expense I have.
I just need some decent weather to get out and use it now.
Don’t tell the wife though!

I have the Active 10, with full UK platinum bundle - have often thought about trading-up to the 20, but the 10 does all I need.

I'm a convert.
I'm sure you will be impressed - If I walk up one side of a road/track, and return on the other side you can see the 'snail trail' running along each side.
Basic operation is simple but to get the best out of it takes some practice and a good memory.

Planning at 1:50k, zoom in to 1:25k for more detail, then super-zoom to 1:10k mapping and you can look in every 'front-garden', etc.
The increase in detail between 1:50k to 1:25k to 1:10k mapping is amazing - its not just 'zoomed in' 1:50k

A good choice.
