Saturday's walk saw me drive to my favourite valley in the Mournes, the Silent Valley. Having climbed Slieve Binnian from here a few months ago, I opted for the western route this time to the summit of Slievenaglogh. There are actually two Mourne mountains called Slievenaglogh; this one is the better one. The highlights of the walk are captured at the beginning whilst walking past the reservoir and at the end upon summiting as views open up of the eastern, central and western Mournes. The middle stretch can hardly be recommended as the terrain is marshy underfoot. Total distance was just over 7.25 km.
