Walks on the South Downs
« on: 12:17:58, 19/11/19 »
I live in the City of Brighton and Hove and so the South Downs are on my doorstep. They are where I do a lot of my walking, usually in the area between Arundel and Eastbourne but occasionally further west.

Just a few photos from some of my many walks on the downs this year

The Seven Sisters from the Vanguard Way on Seaford Head

Seaford Head and Cuckmere Haven from the South Downs Way on the westernmost of the Seven Sisters

The downs at Crowlink, behind the Seven Sisters

Belle Tout, which is between the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head. The Belle Tout lighthouse is now a B&B

The Ouse Valley from the South Downs Way on Iford Hill

Looking eastwards on the way up Chantry Hill above Storrington

Nore Hill near Slindon

Looking back to Arundel when I was on the way up to Wepham Down

The river Arun between Arundel and Burpham

Balmer Down between Lewes and Brighton

Thanks for looking    :)

Lovely pictures - great sense of space - I really love the one of the River Arun - very different to where I normally walk.
