Just been looking it up... it says that my camera stitches them together for me...

Nice shot Pete, glad you remembered about the tip of shooting in portrait rather than landscape, it gives you a lot more height in the finished shot!

I have only recently discovered the Microsoft ICE software for stitching images to create a panoramic shot. Below is one of my first efforts.  
This is the view from The Roaches. I was on a 10.5 mile walk with Halton Ramblers on 7th November. It was a great day and a good walk. Cheers. Al.

Just downloaded it this evening.  Great piece of software, very easy to use if the source images are are a good match.  My first try....
