I’ll be busy writing it up in the next couple of weeks when I get some time Mark.
Yes, it was a great day.

Gotta do the boring ones too mate, all adds up to the 520  ;)

What's the significance of 520 pray tell.

520 miles is my modest challenge to complete this year by dog walking or hiking. Not nipping to the shops, or the 6 miles a day at work my Fitbit tells me I’ve done. The local dog walking can be boring.

Ridge has also set a target of 520 miles to complete this year  O0

Always handy to set a goal or two.  ;)

Another cracking day up on the moor today.  Yar tor Down to Dartmeet, Bellever tor  to postbridge and back via Corndon tor.  Suddenly realised as we set of after the lunch stop, that I had not even popped on a fleece for the stop.  T shirt weather in February on top of Dartmoor.  O0

An entertaining 12 miles with a much reduced walkng group, around the Hay tor, Hound tor areas of Dartmoor.  Storm Fraer may have had something to do with the lack of participants.  Certainly made for a few interesting and quite uplifting moments, litteraly, as we were blown arond like rag dolls on a washing line.  We left out Rippon tor, towards the end of the walk, as it was just too dangerous by then to top out any more.  Fun day. Lochgoilhead area - low level walks in the forest if the weather is foul, up in the surrounding hills if fine.

We will be going to the Lake District tomorrow to get wet and wind blown.

Sunday, we will be trying to find Pleb's bench by the River Eden  :)

Don't give him any money, he'll only spend it on Special Brew.

I'm trying to work out if I can shift round the things I have to do on Saturday, including being at work, to give me a decent gap in the middle of the day to get out for a walk.

We didn't find Pleb's bench. When we got off the bus in Carlisle it was blizzard like conditions, we turned back after half an hour. We will have to go looking for it another time.

Good hike on Dartmoor today. Set off without a plan and just walked to some of my favourite spots.  Including Fur tor and Cranmer's pool.  17.5 miles in 6 hours off piste, very happy with that.  Bumped into the same guy I met a few weeks back, at the top of Yes tor. He was setting up to watch the Sun rise in the morning. So natrualy we chatted about cars, he has a very nice Lotus. ;)

Hopefully walking a little more of the SW with MrsG tomorrow.

Heading up to Dolanog on the River Vynwy, just planned a circular with riverside and other, to make a new route. Interesting to see if some of the paths chosen are used by others. Those, who have walked Glyndwr's Way will know the area or at least the better trod part. Looking forward to a chat with the locals in the Red Lion, Pont Robert afterwards.
