A quick pic my son snapped of an old man on a rock Yesterday evening.  Brent Tor Church in the distance.  Hard to believe an amazing thunderstorm filled the sky for 2 hour later on.  8)

Oh and yes the old man is me.  ;)

Beautiful Spot perfectly Captured the Mood there Dave.  O0

Thanks BuzyG.  That's a good silhouette shot of yours too.  Yes, it was a terrific thunderstorm.  I've never seen lightning like it.  I hope no-one was out wild camping on Dartmoor!

We past a couple of tents on our way back to the car.  Only a few hundred yards from the road.  Where they were, in a hollow out of the wind, they may well have been flooded out in that storm.  But not for back to safety from there.  It was an amazing sight.  I have seen many skys but nothing that impressive before.  We were up until after 2am watching it.  Quite mesmerising.  I doubt we will see the like again.  it was like day light in our garden and the thunder was just continuous for hours.

Can we have two best pics of the day?  :D

This first one is of a (sadly dead/dying) Cinnabar moth taken a few weeks ago on a local evening walk and the second one is a big sky view taken later on in the walk which turned out much better than expected  :)

No photo I'm afraid - but looking over some of the posts on here made me think of 'callmeSteven' who was a regular poster on this thread and of walks around London.

Wondered if anyone knew if he is okay ?  ..... it'd be good to see his TRs which are sadly missed.
