Daphné Derouch now placed 4th woman presumably after one 3 hour penalty, presumably the 1st 3 hour penalty had been served elsewhere.

229 Hendra Wijaya seems to be really struggling at the moment. :(

40 minutes for less than 1K.

It's amazing that he can bring himself to stand again once he rested in the hut.
He seems to be progressing pretty well.

Yes but can he keep it up, 15 miles from where he is with less then 10 hours to go.

Whilst he may not agree, as far as I am concerned, as long as he finishes the time doesn't matter.

yep, I agree too, glad they didn't time them out at Byrness especially after a 6 hour pause.

Just seen the horror movie on Facebook of the state of one of the runners feet at the end of the event. How do they carry on. Amazing.
These boots are made for walking.... so long as the rest of my body agrees

Well I'm off to bed.  I think that 128 Phil Clarke will catch and either overtake 229 Hendra Wijaya or walk with him before the end.  Good luck to all, I'll be up well before the cut off time to clap the Lanterne Rouge in.

Just had a look at the dots and they are all in. The last time on Phil Clarke’s tracker is 7-03 so if that s when he got in, he timed it well, but must have been tough for him and all of the finishers,  keeping moving all night.

Yes good to see that all the stragglers made it home. A great effort by all concerned.

Crazy how last sunday seems so far away but yet still only yesterday, don't now what i'll be doing from now until whenever to fill in my time( apart from trying to get fit). Congrats to everyone who took part and those that finished the spine this year, im sure along with me there will be plenty of people who you will have inspired! Hoping to take the full week off work next year to follow this great event, will maybe volunteer to help if they accept complete novices?
Once again thanks to everyone involved with the Montane spine race 2018, its my new passion!! O0
"if in doubt, flat out"
