Route card revisited
« on: 22:46:24, 02/12/08 »
Hi everyone

I revisited my route card from last June the other day and have added a variable Naismith's rule.

It isn't the most elegant solution but I'm now not sure what is best.

What I tried to do was have a box where you put in how many seconds you wanted to add for every 10m climbed then it would work it out (the default being 60). Unfortunately my maths wasn't up to it (any mathematicians out there?). Instead I just offer the options of 120s, 90s, 60s, 30s, 15s, 0s and you get to choose between them.

I was a bit annoyed at first, but now, a couple of days later, i think maybe it is the best solution. I suppose it will stop someone putting in something silly without realising it and messing up their results.

Anyway if you want to use it you can download it from http://www.lupineadventure.co.uk/component/option,com_docman/task,cat_view/gid,22/Itemid,77/ [nofollow]
