Sunday we got up late and went to Hatwhistle. We did a there and back again walk up onto the Hadrians Wall path.

It wasn't that pleasant here, the wind was blowing right into our faces and it was really cold. We had our buffs covering our faces and we must have looked like bandits

We stopped for our lunch in a sheltered dip to get out of the wind and then retraced our steps back to Haltwhistle. Our route was Haltwhistle - Burn Gorge - Cawfields - nr Caw Gap and return. 14km with 336m ascent. We must try to get up earlier on Sundays, we are getting a bit lazy.
No trip report from Saturday, we went to Newcastle for a family birthday party. We did a walk, just under 5 miles but I didn't take my camera. It was freezing in Newcastle, we had a nice walk along the Quayside but the cold made us finish early.
