Combs Moss
« on: 10:33:52, 20/04/17 »
Been a bit out of the loop in terms of blogging recently as we've moved house but I finally managed to finish my write up of a circular walk I did around Combs Moss last month.

Lady Low.

Roych Clough and Brown Knoll across the valley.

Combs Valley.

Combs Edge - the path traces a course along the top of it.

As always, more pictures and a rambling account of my slow progress here:

Great photographs and a very tempting walk.  We will be going to Edale in May so will try to find an opportunity to follow your route.  I enjoyed your blog too. Incidentally my online OS map at 10,000:1 shows a Combshead Farm near where you identify Comb Head.  I don't suppose this is a new farm so maybe Comb Head isn't a newly invented name?

Thanks for your brilliant posts. :)

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the kind comments on the blog and pictures.  :)

That's interesting, John - I hadn't realised that. I reckon you're probably right about the name being older than I thought then. I'll make a note in the blog, cheers!  O0

As Sunnydale says, it's a good shortish walk, probably make a nice half-day outing and there are some great views. Hope you enjoy your visit to Edale and the surroundings.
