Title: A Glenridding Circuit
Post by: jontea on 22:10:30, 12/03/19

A trip report from a very mild February weekend. It was a fantastic 14.5 mile mountain walk over 8 summits in glorious weather.....apart from the 60 mph winds!!!

Great trip report, looks like you had a good time with some cracking views. A well planned walk and breaks timed to perfection just avoiding the rain.

Nice write up Jontea - did this very walk in November, on another unseasonably warm day.  I absolutely love that route up Sheffield Pike.

Great report and pics John.

Glenridding Dodd, 45 mins walk for those views, it really is a hill that punches above its weight.
That is a long day in the wind once you include Great Dodd and Watsons Dodd.
Well done for beating the rain.

What a contrast with the day you had on Black Fell and Holme Fell - wind aside, looks like an epic walk and you got some fantastic photos of those views. A great read, cheers for that.  O0

Cracking route and you made good time throughout.  Glad the weather kept for you too, I've been up there in clag and torrential rain and it was grim.  Need to head back on a day like that, even if the wind did make it a bit chilly!

Thanks guys, it's always nice to get good positive comments back on a write-up.

The one problem with photos on these fell tops is you can't convey the force of that wind.
I looked back on the shots I took, but without a tree in sight, it does look as calm as the Doldrums  :)

But as always, it was an excellent day  O0
