C2C Pubs
« on: 10:48:29, 12/09/18 »
In preparation for my C2C next year I'm starting to compile a list of pubs/cafes on route for potential lunch stops.  Does anyone know if the Three Tuns at Cleator is still open as I've seen a few old reports saying it's closed indefinitely?

Also is Scarside farm still open for refreshments?

Three Tuns at Cleator seems to be still open at this point August this year, I was there.

The Three Tuns is no longer a pub. It is now a private house. The pub closed up a few year ago.

Scarside closed about 3 years ago Jon. I rocked up there in May hoping things were as they were 5 years previously but sadly not. On the plus side there was a great honesty garden/shed arrangement at Sunbiggin Farm; around 1.5 miles further up the track (just short of halfway between Shap and Kirkby); perfect for a stop

Will get it sorted soon. Just writing up my Dales Way from last month so will do a job lot. I sometimes think I really should improve my Computer skills; then I have a couple of beers and think; sod it too late now O0

Opps sorry, I saw the pub open couple of years back. Time flies.
