New to these forums
« on: 00:43:07, 28/03/09 »
Hi all

My name is Simon and I am 35 years old living in the Wirral. New to this forum!
I have been walking/scrambling a bit in 2007, mainly in Snowdonia as it is only under 2 hours away. Hardly done any walking last year as I've been busy setting up my own shop, plus in Nov'08 I've ruptured my achilles tendon. It has been 4 months since the operation and would love to go walking scrambling again up snowdon, sometime in April/May.

Just get out there!

Welcome to the forum kEySTONe.

Keep your eyes open on the meet up board, you'll find plenty of opportunities to get out into the Snowdonian mountains with forumites. I for one get up that way almost every week. Look forward to meeting up with you.

Hi Keystone,

There are regular trips to Snowdonia with various members of the forum.  Some are planned for a while but some mid week meet ups have only a day of two notice.  Always good to meet up with new walkers.  I am only a couple of hours away too so will see you soon hopefully.

If you arrange a walk then just post in the meet up section and see if people are free.  Midweek better for me due to shifts and family commitments.

Welcome to the forum btw,

Graham

Hi Simon, welcome to the forum!

I do quite a bit of walking in Snowdonia and would be happy to meet up for a walk.
I've started a new thread in the Meet Ups section for a walk I'm planning for Thurs. 2nd April. If you're free and would like to come along just let me know. O0

The only day off is Mondays for me :( :(

I work shifts so my days off change weekly. Currently I'm at work typing this, not good on a Sunday morning especially after losing an hour last night! :buck2: I'll look later to see when my next free Monday is and we'll see if we can arrange something. O0

Edit: I'm free Monday 6th April.

Monday 6th April is too soon for me as I'm still on physio, that will be my 6th session with physio and hopefully the last. I was thinking April 20th, 27th etc. Then hopefully I could get some great hill walking started :), in snowdonia.
Hopefully we can arrange something.

Simon

I can do neither of those, my next Monday off would be 4th May.

Done! Is there anywhere in particular you'd like to go? It'll be worth starting a new thread in Meet Ups nearer the time in case there's anyone else that would like to come along.
