Books

Hello

My first post was last week! Thanks to all who helped!

I have booked to go back to Snowdon and try again in September with plans to try new steeper walks in the meantime. (for those who don't know I bailed near the top because I was worried about a steep scree section).

My question is does anyone know of any new books I can buy to improve walking/hiking techniques so I can conquer the last ¼ of the Llanberis path?

For example I just read of the “rest step”… which I had never heard of before and sounds quite handy!

Thanks in advance!

 Sarah

Rather than books, have you considered youtube?
For example, if you search “walking technique uphill” you will find

I find books often have a complicated way of explaining something that is easier to learn by watching.

Came across this one while I was looking.  It sums up how my wife, who doesn’t like hills, tackles climbs. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V5dpMBdMRdk

I will have a look when I get home from work! I didn't think about youtube! (long day!)
