Check that northing: unless I've misunderstood the route, Backstone Edge summit is 699m at NY 72582 27694, the trig is 692m at NY 72486 27518.

Well I was looking in the right place, not sure where I got those co-ordinates from. The summit isn't quite where I thought it was though, trying again I thought it was at NY 72589 27694.

IIRC there is a summit baggers’ track from the trig point towards the “summit”.  Where it goes after that, no idea.
