Keswick Mountain Festival
« on: 20:04:25, 16/04/13 »
I was reading how Visitors to the Keswick Mountain Festival are being offered to walk with top mountaineer Simon Yates, the man famed for cutting the rope in Touching the Void.  It is all part of a campaign to get Britain walking.
Yates will lead a walk up Hall’s Fell Ridge on Blencathra, along with two mountain guides from Quest 4 Adventure.
Other walks of distances between three and 23 miles are also on offer seems that anyone booking will receive a goody bag worth £16.
I have not seen touching the void, myself.

Quite enjoyed Touching The Void.

It's a Nixwax goodbag BTW. Walks are £20.

Read the book before seeing the film, very scary. You may know how it ends, but when reading it you cannot quite believe the outcome.
