Here's a surprise black swan I saw during a walk, it was on a roadside pond near the village of Little Missenden, Buckinghamshire. What was it doing there? Not a clue!

These were some other surprise birds seen during a walk, again in the Buckinghamshire countryside, though I am now unable to pinpoint the exact location.

it wants to be in a Rohald Dahl story, the one about not knowing the difference between Little and Great.

During this morning's walk, I spotted a lizard on a piece of rubbish basking in the sun...  :)

Fantastic to see.

Last time I came across a lizard was up in the wilds of Northumberland, on Pennine Way last summer...seems a long time ago!

Lizards turn up in the oddest of places.  I have seen them in the Howgills watching the traffic on the M6 down in the Lune Gorge.

Kelpy? Since you are following Ninthaces’s instructions, accuracy is required.  :)

These are amazing sculptures, although the surrounding area leaves a bit to be desired. A walk along the canal in worth a try though.

Went to see Falkirk Wheel, an amazing bit of engineering, everyone who worked there was so proud of the Kelpies, so later on went to see them, incredible sight. Bus loads of visitors were still turning up at 7PM to see them. Yeah walked along canal to Firth of Forth. Whilst at Wheel had a walk along Antonine Wall to Rough Castle Fort, some amazing views from up there. Walked back along part of canal then back to Wheel.

Missing these trips out....

Forgot one memorable occurrence....
Passed first sign 'Glasgow', called for toilet break, whilst washing hands a guy came in and produced the loudest, raspiest... well you can guess what!
I thought "Wellcome to Glasgow"!
