A week in the wild west
« on: 14:43:37, 28/07/17 »
Back in May, we had a weeks stay in West Ardnamurchan, a great wild, remote and beautiful area. Rented a cottage in Kilchoan with a great TV room  :) and drove, walked and ferried our way round. A place where there is lots of wildlife but we only saw a bit, great scenery, beaches that don't look out of place in some exotic island, very little mobile signal, very few cars, roads and people, a place where you can forget about just about everything in the real world. Mixed weather made for an interesting week. Highly recommended  O0

Cheers Karl. The beaches at Sanna are unreal, especially when the sun is out. Photos don't do the place justice really. Pity it was so windy as the week before we went it was the warmest place in the UK in the high 20's and no wind!!

Really enjoyed that. One day I might just throw a few things in the car and have a trip. It all looks very inviting.

Sounds like you found a pretty much perfect way to celebrate your anniversary. Congratulations to you both.  :)

The blog post and pictures do make it sound like a wonderful place to visit - I'll have to add it to the ever-growing list of places to go!  O0
