And the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales NPs have both taken on extra land this year. I guess that must require more spending? Let's hope HMG is serious about restoring some of the cuts over the next decade or so....

No surprise at all, given the state of the nations finances.
Shocking that we can't afford a few million more though. Given the gazillions spent on Welfare/Pensions/NHS.
