smelly canvas type walking shoes
« on: 00:53:29, 31/03/08 »
Can anybody help, got a relatively new pair of canvas suede walking shoes I got them soaking on a walk and they now stink to high heaven, ive put them in the washer, disinfected them etc etc. they are fine when they dry out but as soon as i wear them its back to the same old smell, doesn't happen on any other footwear I use, any suggestions before I have to bin them( odour eaters didnt work)

Cheers

Traditionally bicarbonate of soda is the cure, though this removes the smell over night rather than stops it returning.

The best odour eaters are Trainer Tamers if you've not tried them it may be worth buying a pair before you chuck the boots.

Did you try specialist shoe disinfectant?
