wider walking boots?

I'm currently shopping for a new pair of walking boots. My last pair, a size five pair of Berghauses, were too small, so I'm looking at getting a bigger size. However, I'm finding that even some of the sixes I'm trying on are on the narrow side – can anyone give me a steer as to which brands come up wider? Someone told me Meindel, but even the six in that brand feel too snug on one foot.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Have a look at Altberg boots which have five or six width fittings. Not cheap, though....

  I had the exact same problem "wide feet" i went to Snow And Rock and had my feet measured and ended up with a pair of La Sportiva boots the best i have ever had.
