Hello from me
« on: 20:49:39, 24/06/18 »
30 odd years after doing my silver D of E and about 25 since I last camped out of a rucksack, I’ve recently got back into walking.
I’ve lost about six stones in the last year and I’ve decided to begin challenging myself.
Started with a couple of camps driving into Derbyshire and to test my kit,the last two times I’ve used the train to the Hope valley camping once in Edale, once in Hope walking about seven miles per day.
Really enjoying it so far, next weekend I’m planning on two nights near to Buxton. O0

Greetings from Cheshire ,Matt 😀
Lots of campsites in Buxton ,good hiking area .
I can recommend the Dane Valley Way . DVW  part of it actually !
Uphill for about 3 miles to the terret and Featherbed moss where you can turn round to go back Via the lovely Goyt Valley lots to see around the reservoirs  and follow the old railway track back to Buxton .. Check it out .😂
